Our Story
Kalaaai Studio was started by a textile designer who struggled just like most designers — and understood how hard it can be to bring a design to life.
Designers often struggle to find the right artisan, communicate their ideas clearly, and make sure the finished product matches their vision. Add to that the cost and stress of travel, building a local team, managing quality, negotiating MOQs, and meeting timelines — ultimately the creative process starts to feel heavy.
After 15 years of working closely with grassroots artisans and solving these challenges for herself, our founder, Vidushi Mittal, a NIFT graduate, started Kalaaai Studio to help other designers navigate these obstacles with ease.
Kalaaai Studio takes care of the sourcing, communication, and production — so designers can focus on what they do best.
